Grandville is a small city of around 15,000 people located in Kent County, Michigan. It was first formed into a city in 1933 and held great importance during the state’s logging years. Due to the city’s geographic location, it was crucial to have people monitor the logs and watch for jams as the river turned towards Grand Haven. The city’s total area consists of 7.67 square miles, with 0.40 square miles of that area being water. It is located close to the southwest corner of Grand Rapids and is bordered by the cities Wyoming and Walker. The city’s western border is the border for Kent County and lies where Ottawa County and Jenison begin. Grandville is home to RiverTown Crossings, which is the largest mall in the Grand Rapids area.
