The charming, rural town of Ada, Michigan is located in Kent County on the mouth of the Thornapple River. With a population of around 14,000 people, this historic town first started in the late 1800s with a fur trading post. The town is also referred to as Ada Village and is known as home to one of the few covered bridges that remain in the state of Michigan. The Ada Covered Bridge was constructed in 1867 and has a length of 125 feet. The area is filled with numerous nature areas consisting of streams, meadows, hiking paths, and biking paths.
